Freight Calculation by Load Factor​

Create freight calculations (Load Factors) and assign to items for automatic calculation of freight charges to sales orders where freight applicable.​

• Add “Freight Units” field to item cards​

• Freight Units are the weighting used in the freight calculation​

• Add field on Shipment Method to indicate which item is used for calculating freight pricing. (Users will setup non-inventory items for freight charges)​

• On release of a sales order, or a ‘Calc Freight’ action, automatically add a line to the sales order where the item number comes from the shipping method, the QTY is the sum of QTY * freight units for every line on the order – and the price comes from freight pricing logic
